How it works _01
Scope 1 Emission Reduction
  • One of the most effective ways to reduce carbon footprint is to target direct emissions arising from an organization’s operations that you can directly control, such as fossil fuel combustion from fleets and equipment (Scope 1).  
  • The use of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) in the US, aka AdBlue in the UK, significantly reduces such emissions. Most newer diesel fleets and equipment engines rely on this technology.
  • DEF/AdBlue is widely used by diesel truck fleets to reduce NOx emissions by up to 95%, while also gaining fuel economy estimated to be up to 5%.
