Recognition from Phillips 66 highlights how World Fuel's focused land strategy is driving retail fuel growth across the U.S.
World Fuel has branded and supplied more than 200 Phillips 66 locations nationwide over the last three years and expects to add at least another 250 locations over the next two years.
One of the most visible examples of that growth is taking place in Chicago, where World Fuel is helping bring the 76 brand back to the market, with plans to open 100 locations within two years.
Ten new-to-industry locations are already in development, with another 50 expected within the next six to eight months.
The initiative was highlighted at the recent Phillips 66 conference, where World Fuel received the Go the Distance Award in recognition of sustained growth across the Phillips 66 family of brands. The planned expansion will bring the total network to more than 450 locations.
Building on a focused strategy
Over the past several years, World Fuel has concentrated its North America Land business around three core areas: retail convenience stores, cardlock fueling, and natural gas supply.
The results are measurable. More than 200 Phillips 66 locations have been branded and supplied over the last three years, with at least 250 additional locations planned over the next two years.
The Chicago initiative is one of the most visible examples of how that strategy is being translated into growth.
